Scottish charity recruiting social media volunteers
We're about to relaunch our website, which much more of a focus on truly engaging with Scottish families and couples. At the heart of this will be a multi-user blog and our social media channels - Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Posterous.
To support our new online strategy looking for volunteers who have a good understanding of social media tools, including Twitter and Facebook. Advanced technical knowledge, coding etc, is not required.
As we're looking to recruit a few volunteers we're flexible about your skills - so you might be highly active on Twitter but not so great at writing blog posts.
You'd be:
• Updating social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook
• Monitoring social media for discussions and keywords associated with our work
• Responding to online conversations
• Developing our online community of supporters
• Measuring and reporting on our online coverage
We'll offer:
• Experience in the competitive world of social media
• The chance to play a key part in our strategy
• The chance to gain experience of social media within the third sector
A full induction will be offered, we cover travel expenses and we're flexible about the days/times/location you work. Your commitment might be as little as a few hours per week working from home.
Ultimately we're looking to build a small team of volunteers who are passionate about social media and who would like to get involved with a national charity that supports thousands of children & families across Scotland.
If you're interested in applying please compltete the online form below.
The closing date for this round of recruitment is 5pm Wed 8th Feb 2012.
