Calling all database & CRM experts

Our local South Lanarkshire service need support setting up a client database for their family mediation service (a registered Scottish charity). They want to move from their current paper-based system to a hosted client database. They're after someone who can help them not only set up a reliable system but also think about their inputs/outputs - ie how does a database fit within the service's current processes and what knowledge can be gleaned from using one.

We're keen to hear from people with experience of free, open-source or low-cost hosted database/CRM solutions, which may include:

  • Salesforce (they offer free licences via their non-profit programme)
  • CiviCRM
  • Microsoft CRM
  • Sugar CRM
  • Zoho CRM

This is simply a client database (appointments, client records, etc) and will not be used for fundraising or other functionality. The database will cover a range of services within the charity, including family mediation, child contact centre users, children & young people's counselling, intergenerational mediation and parenting workshops. The solution needs to be simple to use and easy to expand if required. The solution must be compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you are interested in being considered for this small project please send the following to ross@familysupport.org.uk no later than 12pm Fri 4th Nov:

  • Details of database/CRM systems you have experience with
  • Examples of clients you have implemented database/CRM solutions
  • An outline of the solution you'd implement for the charity (500 words max)
  • Estimated costs for this piece of work

This project is only open to freelancers and businesses operating with the UK. Please do not send unsolicited emails without having first read all of the information above.
