We're looking for a Social Media Assistant
We're looking for volunteers who have a good understanding of social media tools, including Twitter, Facebook and blogging. Advanced technical knowledge, coding etc, is not required.
As we're looking to recruit a few volunteers we're flexible about your skills - so you might be a keen blogger but not so good at video or you might be an expert on Twitter but not so great at writing lengthier articles.
You'd be:
• Updating social media platforms
• Monitoring social media for discussions and keywords associated with our work
• Responding to online conversations
• Developing our online community of supporters
• Measuring and reporting on our online coverage
We'll offer:
• A portfolio of online writing
• Experience in the competitive world of social media
• The chance to play a key part in our strategy
• The chance to gain experience of social media within the third sector
A full induction will be offered, we cover travel expenses and we're flexible about the days/times/location you work.
Ultimately we're looking to build a small team of volunteers who are passionate about social media who would like to get involved with a national charity that supports thousands of children and families across Scotland.
If you're interested in applying or you just want an informal chat about the role please contact Ross McCulloch ross[@]thirdsectorlab.co.uk - closing date for this round is 5pm 29th Oct 2010.
You can view the full opportunity on Volunteer Scotland's website.
